Applicants to Aureus Conservatory must audition in person. Audio/Video recordings will not be considered in place of a live audition.
Your auditions are an important part of your application process, as it provides you the opportunity to not only showcase your musical talent, but your ability to prepare for, and perform your chosen repertoire. Audition Requirements
Diploma in Music
Performance Audition
All candidates must be prepared to perform:
- 1 scale and 1 arpeggio as chosen by the jurors
- Three contrasting works of candidate’s choice representing different musical styles/periods. One of the pieces must be a virtuosic etude

Interview
A one-to-one interview will be held with a member of the Academic Board and Head of Instrumental Department.
Diagnostic entrance test
A 60-minute test will be conducted to assess the general knowledge of music theory and history. Students who score below 50% may be required to retake the exam after the commencement of courses.
Professional Certificate in Music

All candidates must perform any two contrasting works of his/her choice. The pieces must be submitted beforehand and approved by the Admissions Officer.

Fee
A non-refundable one-time application fee of 75 Singapore Dollars (inclusive of 7% GST) is payable per application. Application would only be considered complete upon receipt of your application fee and all necessary documents, and applications submitted without full payment of the fee due will not be processed. Please ensure that your application fee is paid and documents are submitted within seven working days from the submission date of your online application.
Aureus Conservatory reserves all rights to withdraw the applicant if the application fee is unpaid and documents are not received by the due date.
