Erika Carmelotes-Guevarra earned her Master’s degree in education, majoring in Curriculum and Instruction and graduated with summa cum laude at University of Santo Tomas Manila where she also obtained her Bachelor in Music, majoring in Music Education (vocal emphasis, piano minor) and graduated with magna cum laude. 

Erika combines a diverse background from vocal performances, music education and curriculum development in her teaching in accordance with her belief that music and academe goes hand in hand. Prior to starting her career as a music educator in Singapore, she had performed in various music productions and festivals in Asia including the Yeosu International Choir Competition and Festival which was held in South Korea.

With a wealth of experience in music pedagogy from primary to tertiary level, Erika is well-versed in facilitating music classes in both individual and collaborative settings catering to varying students’ levels. Her success being an accomplished music instructor and performer is reflected in several of her students’ active participation in the music scene in Singapore, Southeast Asia and across the United States– with her guidance, her students have coveted awards and citations from international festivals and competitions (including the ABRSM Theatre Award for Southeast Asia and We Sing Pop! by American Protégé) and have been granted scholarship upon successful audition to Berklee College of Music. 

Erika Carmelotes-Guevarra is currently the Head of Curriculum Development and Lecturer of Music Education at Aureus Conservatory– leading the institution’s initiative to enhance the curriculum, adapting to recent trends and advances in the realm of instrumental music instruction.
